Biosimilars Forum Encouraged By Food And Drug Administration Commissioner’s Support of Biosimilars
Washington, D.C., March 9, 2018 – The Biosimilars Forum is encouraged by Food and Drug Administration (FDA) Commissioner Scott Gottlieb’s support of a vibrant biosimilars market and his efforts to highlight barriers preventing the U.S. healthcare system from fully benefiting from the promise of biosimilars. It is clear that the FDA recognizes the benefits biosimilars can provide to patients, physicians and the entire health care system. Now more than ever, we need policies that inspire investment in biosimilars and greater competition, as this will ultimately bring more drugs to market, lower the cost of safe and effective treatment options, and improve patient access to care.
